Good place for several hours of kayaking or canoeing. Go up river and play on sandy freshwater creeks, or go downstream into Wolf Bay for an open water challenge. Parking your car here seems secure. Portable restroom on-site.
Only downside is there can be lots of shoreline anglers here. Most of the time there are fishers on the boat dock that don't understand paddlers have priority with launching and docking kayaks and cannot claim it; it would be nice for the city to make a sign indicating such.
