Police officer from the town pulled over my cousin(she was wrong btw, 80 in a 55) and was completely disrespectful to her while she was having an anxiety issue(smiling) and used it as what solidified his ticketing her, also ID'ed the rest of us in the car(4 total) and declared the city was "his town"(no. it belongs to the community),as the son of a retired cop of 20+ years who served with respect for his community(Bessemer), I can say that after today, if this officer-who was a shift supervisor-is any showing for the rest of the PD then they need to start over, because after this experience then I believe they have no respect for the citizens and do a poor job of representing what is actually a beautiful town. Made me begin to question blind support of police because this was honestly the first time I've ever felt nervous around cops, and I grew up the son of a cop.
