Steak 'n Shake

I have come to truly appreciate their Turkey Club (really a BLT with sliced turkey) sandwich. Quite yummy. And their side salad is an excellent alternative and a free substitution for the french fries with any meal. And there is a multitude of variation on the common hamburger on offer -- you're bound to like many of them. In fact the food is always pretty good here, but I can't help but feel that this place is deteriorating in a physical sense. There are seats that are in poor condition -- torn cushions, etc... -- and it just somehow seems that, in general, the spark has somehow gone out. And it's always chilly in there. When I've brought that to the attention of my server, I've always been told; "But it's really hot behind the counter and in the kitchen." But that doesn't help the diners in front.
