Select My Space

This business is absolute garbage. They don't listen to when, where, or what you want. The places we "toured", they were busy talking on the phone while we had to look around by ourselves. When we actually did find a place, we signed the lease, paid, and switched the electrical to our name. After that we had to hassle them to get our keys AND someone had lied to us and said the agent in charge of handling us had got in contact with us when she had not whatsoever. On a lighter note, there are employees that are 100% honest and will help you every step of the way, but don't expect them to be in charge of anything. Only the incompetent people are high on the totem pole. (Only in Birmingham)

My experience is Select My Space is very negative. The people who show the apartments are paid commission only. As a result of being paid commission only, they will lie to you , tell you what you want to hear, because they will never have to be confronted with their lies. These sales people are low low low on the scale of professional real estate agents as they do not assess the individual and try to match them with the apartment community that they would be the most at home in. So, misrepresentations, (lies) and folks who don't care about anyone they are showing apartments to...they just want the sale, means that I would NEVER recommend Select My Space to a young lady, family, or couple. NEVER.
