It is a unique experience to make your own glass piece. We made arrangements to make an ornament on Saturday and we were able to pick our own colors to customize the piece. The staff is very laid back and our helper was actually not a staff member but a new artist who seemed to have a work/independent project agreement.
She was sweet but made mistakes, which allowed us to each make a practice ornament and one to take home. The only hands on part for the customer is to blow into a metal tube. It really has zero skill for the customer, for better or worse. The two ornaments probably took less than 30 minutes.
You can not take it home with you (since it takes them time to cool it?) You need to pay for shipping or personally puck it up Tuesday. It is kind of sad they do not provide time to look at it or take a picture of you with the final product. The glass does change color when it cools. The piece is put in a metal cabinet once it is done.
