Absolutely terrible experience with flooring dept. Today is12/26. We've been trying to get carpet installed no later than 12/28. We started the process 11/19. For over a week Lowe's didn't know where the measurements were. After several calls, visits to the store, and emails the measurements appeared.
Next Lowe's lost the carpet. I was told it was not in stock. I knew it was in stock; I'd had the floor person cut off a remnant for me to send out of town to confirm the nap. After a few more days they confirmed, yes it was in stock. Great! Well no not really. Though Lowe's screwed up every part of the process they say they can't expedite the process any faster. They said, I probably wouldn't even hear from installers to make an appt. before the evening of the deadline I needed it in. Now I have to delay moving furniture out of the pod that came yesterday. I have to reschedule movers that were to unload the pod and risk paying storage charges on the pod. I have to find other accommodations for a family and 2 Rottweiler until the carpet is in. It's been more stressful, more time consuming, more costly than it should have been. They were not proactive. Lowe's did not communicate as they lead customers to believe in writing. A mistake even at my expense... chalk it up to human error. Mistakes at every twist and turn? To me managerial incompetence. This is the Lowe's, 3505 N. Memorial Pkwy, AL 35810
