Hertz

So I'm pretty confused as to where all of these negative reviews are coming from. I flew into Huntsville around 10:30pm on a Tuesday having booked a mid-size car only two or three days prior to arriving. I was expecting a Mazda3 or Camry or one of several other reasonable Japanese cars basically. When I made it down to the Hertz counter, most of the other rental companies were already closed for the night. Hertz was waiting for me in the garage and handed me the keys to a brand new (literally 16 miles on it) Chrysler 300C Sport. The car was great and, when I returned it after filling it up, I noticed that the Hertz lane in the garage had by far the largest fleet of new vehicles of any of the rental companies. I'm not sure if the glaringly negative reviews are outdated or what, but I had a great experience and will definitely be renting from Hertz next time I'm in town.

***UPDATE: Not only did they not refund my family's rental, they also CHARGED US A ADDITION $200 FOR LATE RETURN FEE, since their car broke!!! And the airport was closed for public traffic. They sat in a gas station parking lot for 4 hours waiting on your roads to open back up with NO AC!! I do not recommend using this company at all. They do not take care of you when on of their cars break down. As 4 of my 6 living family members return from going through the devastation of my grandfathers house, courtesy of Hurricane Harvey, the rental AC goes out. Then they make you feel like it's your own incompetence on why the POS that loses AC is their vehicle. While my elderly family sits in the ER parking lot, eating Ice chips to cool down, they tell them they'll have to pay for another rental vs just swapping out. It's madness. I'm very disappointed in hertz. And the manager who's name starts with an M states they'll be refunding the rental to my aunt. I'll update if that happens. Beware. Stay away. This location is not going to assist you.
