Just the very best experience from start to finish. Caterract surgery, pre, op, and post went smoothly for both eyes. The staff all work as a great team who really seem to enjoy working together. Dr S. Heersink is professional, friendly, and reassures you from start to finish! I WILL recommend to anyone getting eye surgery to go here. They're the best!

*Updated 5 stars for all of the staff leading up to the doctor. 2 stars for doctor. I have blocked meibomian glands on both upper eyelids that have been present for over two months. Have been diagnosed by previous doctors as a chalizaion and have had surgery only for them to reappear. Research has shown me that lipiflow is the best, most efficient, and non invasive way to treat this problem. I've been doing hot compresses and massages every day for two months with no positive results. I described all of this today and shared what i would like done to fix this (lipiflow). I have the money, they have the tools. Instead he tells me it's a stye, to do compresses, and proceeds to tell me that it's the same as a chalizaion so he's referring me to another doctor to give me steroid shots or to do surgery. Basically a day wasted. Not impressed with my first visit. Going back to see his referred doctor which isn't available for a month, maybe he can redeem the other three stars. *Thank you for your response and your hospitality. I had my second visit a few weeks ago and here is a short version of my experience. Once again the staff was nice and pleasant to be around. The doctor was more open to answering my questions and addressing my concerns but still veered away from recommending lipiflow. He did however mention the less expensive bliphex as an option with the impression it may or may not work. His assistant brought in another doctor who has experienced first hand both procedures and she sold me on the bliphex. The person who actually did the procedure for me was the coolest of them all, made me feel the most comfortable. Since then I have been doing eye scrubs almost daily and both eyelids have improved, but not completely, are still noticeable, but do feel much better. I'm giving it time. If no improvement I'll make an appointment and maybe give lipiflow a shot.
