I went to Dr. Dey back in May. After speaking to my insurance provider, I was confident that my yearly evaluation was covered. It would have been, had this office not charged for services that were not necessary, and were (in one case) not even rendered. She asked me if I was having painful cramps. I told her no, every time she repeatedly asked me. Despite that, she scheduled an ultrasound anyway. There was no medical need for it, and it cost me over $100. I asked before the procedure if it was covered on insurance and was told it was. That was a lie. She tried to charge insurance for a 30 minute consultation about something she never even spoke to me about. She charged me for a doctors visit just because she wrote me a prescription, even though if she had put it down as preventative, they would have covered it. However, she wouldn't have gotten that extra $130. This is not the kind of place you want to do business if you're a nine to five person like me!!
