We normally go to Lake Martin but had friends invite us to Lake Tuscaloosa last summer for a day of boating. My husband went into the men’s restroom to change clothes and said it was very unsanitary. When we went down to the bottom of the hill the trashcans were overflowing, trash was scattered throughout the grounds and the place looked very unkept. A few deck boards on the dock were missing and other boards were splintered (an accident waiting to happen). When we came back to the marina at the end of the day there was nowhere to tie the boat off to. Tons of boats were just left floating the water tied to all the dock spots. No employees were in sight and the storage area was locked up. Blue Heron Marina just looks very neglected. Next time we’ll just boat at Lake Martin. Hope this marina will get it together and realize this is NOT the way to run a business.
