I filed a report on 12/23/17, a serious crime. It has now been a week, a detective was just assigned to my case yesterday and still no one has contacted me. When I called to inquire I was told that they're busy with cases load and someone will be in touch with me soon. I guarantee you if the victim of the crime I reported was a deputy's child, a warrant would already be in ncic, yet here I sit, waiting for a phone call. This is ridiculous and disservice to the community. I am so disappointed, I know the sheriff's office is always slow to serve Hayden, but given the nature of this crime I truly believed there would be a sense of urgency. This is pathetic and has caused me great stress and a loss of respect for the department, I guess the citizens of Hayden just aren't important enough to serve promptly regardless of the seriousness of the situation.
